Gallery of Pinball Overhauls
When we go through a vintage machine we typically perform the following work to make it play like new and operate as reliably as possible:
- Rework & bulletproof all boards/pcbs (or replace if significant corrosion/damage is present)
- Rebuild headers and connectors
- Install remote battery or NVRAM to prevent future battery corrosion
- Repair/repin/reflow or replace/upgrade displays
- Full topside playfield teardown, followed by a deep clean, polish & waxing of playfield
- Replace all rubbers
- Ultrasonic clean and/or tumble all small playfield parts
- Rebuild all flipper mechs, replace flipper bats if necessary
- Re-sleeve and clean all coil mechanisms
- Rebuild and/or replace all pop bumpers
- Rebuild drop target assemblies
- Tune and adjust spinners
- Clean & polish (or replace) ramps
- Rebuild shooter rod
- Rebuild/resleeve chime unit if equipped
- Clean all lamp sockets and replace all non-working sockets
- Replace all nonworking bulbs or upgrade game to LEDs
- Clean underside of all playfield inserts
- Clean & adjust all leaf switches
- Replace all non-working microswitches
- Clean all optoswitches, replace non-working or intermittent ones
- Replace leg levellers if needed
- Identify and repair bad wiring/soldering/hacks
- Replace broken plastics if repros are available
- Replace playfield glass if needed
- Replace beer seal and clean lockbar mech
- Ensure proper operation of coin door & buttons
- Upgrade/replace speaker(s) if needed
- Replace missing/broken locks
- Adjust and/or rebuild tilt mechanism
- Replace old worn/pitted balls
